Music is way too loud when they're talking!
I love that Gretsch White Falcon.
Junior Brown for president
I get misty eyes...
yes is the best indeed
Junior speaks so well in all his interviews. He's intelligent, insightful and funny. I find his interviews seem too short cuz he's so interesting. He's an awesome genuine man.
It's great to just hear Junior talk. He's right though, society has died out and moved on from country music, sad really but true. Bless you, Junior.
Legend x
Succinctly and so aptly put by this fantastic musician,Mr.Brown, and extremely well read as well.....
A cross between Jimi Hendrix and Ernest Tubb!
lanois, hahaha! another egotistical canadian musician? no you don't say? his music is crap, not worth any mention but his sense of how great i am keeps increasing. too bad he didn't work on some blues instead of working on being a wanker
Love his work with Matthew Sweet, as well as with Television RIP, Robert Quine
I had the Good Fortune of recording a couple of albums with Richard in fact he helped me get sober good dude I hope you're doing well Richard it's been a long time
What wisdom . He put it in better words than I ever could . Country music today as a 60 year old really sucks .
Wow, it must be cold out there in outer space
what a shame, and poor figure. is he drunk, or doped (or both)?
This is another great that dan never be replaced!!!😂😂😂😂
Dude is a living legend, a term that is over-used. James Burton is a guitar monster and seemingly, a hell of a great guy.
phenomenal james burtom has inspired many a guitarist around the world when i first heard it i said this is what i would like to hear it was love at first sight thank you so much dude for you existing...Brazil
Smoke on the Water?
Great Interview!!
James Burton! Peace & Love! WooF!
Kudos to Mr. Doucet, it cant be easy to play side by side with the one and only.
The fact that he had never heard of too far gone shows me that he really didnt do his homework and the constant thumb in Susie Q is so loud you couldnt miss it
Sure, country before Nashville Pop was always just like people's everyday lives. Everybody South of the Mason-Dixon line dressed as rhinestone cowboys with huge hair. Bluegrass was never commercial or electrically distributed. The use of drugs was never common. Extreme sound effects and processing were never used. Cosmopolitan country was never a thing. Phoniness was never the common approach on stage. Hee Haw was not parody.
Mr James is one awesome guitarist as well as person. 👍👍❤️❤️🎸
Saw Junior at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville about 1990, when “Music City” had not quite yet become a caricature of itself.
So true Junior.
RIP Gordie
Very sad news bought me here. I was aware of Teenage Head but have not really listened to them. Seemed a very genuine guy with great influence anyone who's a fan of Thunders is all right in my book. Plus that TV Yellow Special guitar looks an absolute gem. RIP to him
May you rest in peace.
He's right about Country music, it is also true for Rockabilly music too! Basically he's saying that there are a lot of posers!
it s just too sad :-( what a tragic loss for everyone not just local music
Rest in peace you truly missed by missed by many I was lucky to have gotten a few lessons from gordie
Rest in peace gordie a true guitar legend and kind soul who brought us lots of good music over the years .
Gordie was so kind, as you say. He was also as humble as anyone I've met. We miss him.
Love this guy... he gives props to some of my heroes... Alice Cooper, the Dolls and the Ramones
One of the coolest cats. Incredible talent ❤
Just the word I would use. Nobody else sounds like him and he shreds. 🤘🏻
Luke doucet is so rude and interrupting with a legend. Worked audio on this and luke is so rude .. the worst person I’ve ever worked with..
Luke doucet is the fucking worst.. I worked the audio for this and listening to luke ramble on this was torture..
I could hear his arrogance and dismissive attitude toward Junior... but Mr. Brown shut him down and made him look dumb! I don't even think Luke understands Junior was telling him, "Bless your heart, little fellow," lol.
Luke doucet is the biggest asshole ever.. hate the guy.. I worked the sound for these and he is so rude and privelaged.. arrogant and complete asshole .. James burton was the sweetest man I ve ever had the pleasure to work with.
I never heard of him,but i really like him now.
Let’s not forget that a Twin Reverb amp can make a 1 string broomstick 🧹 sound good 👍🏻. Plug a tele in with a player like James and you get magic
A strong singer and a hot band....priceless...
I bet the guitar part for "sleepwalk" came right off of a james burton lick! Probably Perfidea too.
James Burton is the greatest guitarist that ever lived and the most loyal friend of Elvis.
JAMES BURTON THE LIVING HISTORY STILL GOING STRONG
Poor Richard
He's sure rite. These millenial spoiled rich brats singing bout hard work. Something they've never done and go crying like a baby when they get a speck of dirt on their 5000 dollar boots. Hear me there blake snowflake sheldon?!!
This is really cool James Burton first played with Rick Nelson... He later played with Elvis
Super gitarzysta
love this guy. When I was a teenager, and a fan of Teenage Head, and heard that Gordie was injured in a car accident, I wrote to him and wished him well, AND HE REPLIED! unheard of then.
Great story. What a legend. He’ll be greatly missed.
